Heather Wright, LCSW, has been with Northeastern Counseling Center since August 2022. She is a therapist in the Vernal office. Her education includes a bachelor’s degree in Family Consumer Science and Human Development with an emphasis in Community Program and a minor in Sociology from Utah State University. Heather received her master’s in social work from Utah State University. She provides mental health and substance abuse assessments, treatment and crisis intervention for children, adolescents, and adults. Heather has experience working with at-risk youth, and adults and children with disabilities. Her clinical areas of interest include attachment, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She is trained in EMDR and ART trauma modalities. She is English speaking and provides services as a culturally trained provider. Heather offers covered services via telehealth for Medicaid Members. She is accepting new clients.
