Biography
I have made the Uintah Basin my home for many years, raising my family here and serving the community in a variety of ways. I received a bachelor’s degree in Family, Consumer & Human Development and a Master of Social Work degree from Utah State University Uintah Basin. I have spent the last few decades focused on working with populations impacted by trauma, specifically intimate partner violence and child abuse and I am trained to work with domestic violence issues in a clinical capacity. I have experience working in schools to support students and families.
I am a Registered Play Therapist who believes in a humanistic approach to therapy that each person has the tools inside they need to rise to their full potential. I advocate for each person I work with to find their personal power and voice through therapy. Modalities that I lean into include Play Therapy, EMDR, CBT, and Mindfulness through an IFS/parts lens focused on relationships and growth. I love working with people of all ages and populations while also have a focus on working with children, adolescents and young adults.
